Absent from the media frenzy about James Lee is any rational look at the difference between a “radical environmentalist” who uses extreme tactics, and someone struggling with serious mental illnesses who latches on to environmental issues.

ThumbnailGenesis is less about contemporary debates about scientific accuracy and more about ancient theological politics. It is a liturgical text that provides imaginative resources to challenge the dominant ancient near eastern worldview against the rituals and beliefs that legitimated empires.

Why do canadian anarchist like doughnuts?

    Because it’s a circle, eh?

  • Is “radical environmentalist” a more acceptable rush judgment than saying someone was insane? Because that’s the first, and only, thing that has come to mind in the case of James Lee and the Discovery Channel building.

There are a number of different streams of anarchist thought out there, including insurrectionist, individual/lifestyle anarchism, socialist/communist anarchism, anarcho-syndicalism, anarcha-feminism, green/anti-civ, anarcho-primitivism, and more.

Do you identify with or are you influenced by a particular stream more than others?

Not technically an anarchist, but rather, a Christarchist and Voluntaryist. I share many attributes, however, with anarcho-pacifists, mutualists, agorists, and geoists.

I have been thinking about the name of God: YHWH, “I AM.” When God heard the cry of his people in Egypt he proclaimed that his name is “I AM,” i.e. “I exist.” Is this not the cry of the oppressed itself? “I exist; I am not a non-person; I am a human being, worthy [...]

In Toronto, before and during the G20 summit held there at the end of June, the largest mass arrests in Canadian history took place. There are so many different kinds of violence. The type of violence we need in America for a well-needed revolution isn’t necessarily war, but there is necessary violence in order to change Washington. After all, they will use violence against us, but we need to choose our battles wisely. If politicians speak of taking away [...]

The main problem I see with a World Government is that nations would have to forget about their own constitution and set of rules and conform to a collective idea of a constitution and ours wouldnt matter anymore. I think many people across the globe would have a problem with that(Americans in particular)

I’m not sure a world constitution would be any more or less oppressive than the governing system we already have. Nevertheless, I tend to be far less concerned about an overt world government than I am about de facto world governance by financial and corporate powers.

Agreed. Having economic control is having ultimate controll; I think when this ”Bank of the World” thing finally comes into play, there will be riots that will make the 1999 WTO protests look civilized. A world government would be much more imaginable if there was a world bank, and I believe the NWO is also aware of this.
