Christarchy! is a growing network of people who want to put the ethical teachings of Jesus into practice (living simply, caring for the poor, practicing hospitality, making peace, etc.) Jesus calls us to a revolutionary way of life. He challenges the economic, political, social, and religious status quo, and we seek to follow him in this.
Christarchy! is a website where people from all walks of life can discuss the ethical teachings of Jesus and their implications.
Christarchy! is for existing groups that want to network with kindred spirits, as well as a place for new ones to form. Groups can be formed around anything you wish, including regional and local concerns, shared interests, and more. Our hope is that the groups on the website will reflect community development in the world and that there will be a link between the connections made online and ongoing attempts to live according to the way of Jesus offline.
In addition to the discussion forums and groups currently available on this site, users can take advantage of fully-functional WordPress blogs. This allows users to create their own blogs, multi-user blogs, group blogs, and wiki-enabled blogs. If users have external blogs they can import them to this site via their RSS or Atom feeds, notifying users here when they update their blogs and driving more readers to their sites.
Also, we are in the process of creating a Christarchy! Network that will link this and other sites together in order to enable easier access to the wealth of information available on the internet to assist the formation and maintenance of radical Christian communities, both on- and off-line.
